New Simplicity Photography

Gretchen and Emily (above) are really close friends and they wanted to do their senior pictures together. It will be a fun memory for the girls and the mom’s as well who joined us. We started out at my home studio very close to Northgate High School. The girls chose Downtown Newnan and Line Creek as their locations. It was an overcast day. I tell people I love shooting in overcast days. It actually opens up so many more possiblites for shooting. I love the coca-cola wall we found right on the square. It is actually one of those sites I have driven by many times before…but when you are in the right frame of mind it is almost like you are discovering it for the first time. I love living in an area so rich in fun shooting places. It is nice to have all these wonderful locations right in my back yard. It is really fun to see how  the personality of my seniors is really coming out in the sessions. It is important to me to hopefully capture personality as well. Gretchen was so much fun and adventurous! It was a fun morning!img_0014_ppgretchenpanel2img_0213-copy-copygretchenpanel1img_0082bwtu1img_0688

What an amazing session! I simply must say! WOW! Haleigh was recommended to me through a long time friend.  As it turns out, Haleigh’s mom was telling me that just as my friend was telling her about me, at that very moment she was on my website…( I just had to add in that little detail.) As you can see we did a few shots at ANDY’S NURSERY just before in arriving in Peachtree City. The nursery is actually just beside Collector Corner on the corner of 54 and 34. It is nestled between two of my favorite shooting spots…Line Creek in Peachtree City…and Old Town Sharpsburg. If you are a gardener…or flower lover, you simply must check out Andy’s Nursery! Of course after my shoot, I stopped in to buy a couple rare plants and a wonderfully, ripe delicious fresh peach. I just love living in the moment…it is always fun to change up routine just a little and live in your own town as if you were on vacation and exploring the local scene. Haleigh and her mother were a true pleasure..and myself..well I was just a lucky photographer!halpanel3halpanel2img_2078img_2164file0435file0337halpanelfile0211

Jeremy is #44 for the East Coweta Indians football team. He was so busy with practices it was hard to narrow down a day for senior pictures. It’s so hot down here in Georgia, I honestly don’t know how they manage practices this time of year. We tried to beat the heat with the session, but by 11 am we were already almost at out max. Jeremy didn’t realize it, but he was very easy to photograph. I am not sure he was looking forward to giving up a Saturday morning to do pictures, but I think he actually might have enjoyed getting his pictures made just a little. I am under the conclusion that guys just aren’t into pictures as much as us gals. But they go along with it for moms sake. Jeremy agreed to be a Senior rep for me and I promised I would change the design for his marketing materials to go along with his personality. Again, I have to give a special thank you to Gary the owner of Head Games. He refurbishes juke boxes and is always so gracious when I bring a client over to his shop. I actually lost touch with him when he moved from Old Town Sharpsburg around the corner to HWY 54. If you get a moment to check out his shop you will be amazed at his incredible talent for bringing back life into these wonderful boxes of music. jeremypanelimg_98921jeremy3jeremy21img_0197img_0007

I introduce to you my senior rep for Jonesboro High School….Shakera! What a wonderful pleasure it was to spend the morning with Shakera and her mother. Shakera found me online and emailed me with a great desire to become a Senior Rep for me. She outlined several reasons why she would make a great Senior Rep. I loved her responses and just knew she would make an outgoing and fun person for the program! It was a pleasure for me to get to know Shakera during our morning session. She is an outstanding student who excels in her classes including her honors classes and plans to attend college in New York. It is wonderful to see a young student with dreams and aspirations for her future. Thank you Shakera for inspiring me! img_02991img_0466shakpanelimg_01311
