I must say the title of this post tells it all. I met Phoebe many years ago before her sweet youngest daughter was born. Phoebe follows be back to my more traditional and old master’s style of photography when I had my studio. I can truly say I have seen Phoebe’s girls grow. I had the honor and privilege to photograph her youngest seen here in my baby club. As she is indeed an angel from above. She has a wonderful and truly uplifting story. One I will cherish. Phoebe lives in a purple victorian house and I call her yard the secret garden. The shade trees and established landscaped yard provide me with vast photographers delight. I have done many photography sessions for Phoebe at her home and to my suprise, everytime I go I am able to discover a new hidden secret in her yard. Phoebe will always hold a special place in my heart because she has entrusted me with the most precious memories of her children. As she calls me for yet another session I know I will always be uplifted by the sweetness that surrounds this special family unit.

It is wonderful to be shooting again, I suppose if it is my addiction…it’s ok, because it’s a good one. Spring is finally here and today was a perfect day to photograph this sweet mother and her children. It truly fulfills me. Her little guy reminded me so much of mine at that age. He was just ready to explore everything. In fact, he was in my arms when we did the mother daughter portrait so he would’nt take off runnin! Ended up lovin the image, even with one arm holdin a baby and the other a camera!

The beauty of being an artist, photographer is being able to experience when the natural essence of those whom you are photographing is expressed.  It was recently expressed to me that a photographer is truly successful when the viewer can feel the souls of the people in the images. Certain experiences in life cause us to pause and take mention of the importance of the everyday…for it is in the simpleness of the everyday that our lives are defined. Today I created images…today I spent time with my son.
